About Me
My name is Sid and I am currently an Undergraduate student at Stony Brook University pursuing a BS in Biology. As a part of the Scholars for Medicine BS/MD combined program I plan on attending the Renaissance School of Medicine to pursue my dream of becoming a physician. I am interested in exploring the applications of research in medicine to bring novel drugs and therapies from bench to bedside. Additionally, I have always been fascinated by marine biology and aquatic life and in my freetime am an avid fisherman, scuba diver, and aquariamist. I often find myself reading about the vast biodiversity of the world under the water. I am very excited by the union of marine life and cellular biology that is central to the research conducted in the Dormant Biology Lab. Outside of school, I work as a certified EMT at volunteer emergency ambulance service. I love to play tennis, spikeball, and swim! I spend a lot of time outdoors biking, hiking, and fishing. I am excited to continue my journey in research and look forward to learning and exploring new pathways every day!
