About Me

Jun Jie Chen

I’m a PhD student in the Molecular and Cell Biology Program in Stony Brook. I’m interested in further elucidating the role of key genes in cell signaling during development after having spent my undergrad at Cornell University where I spent the bulk of my time performing genetical work identifying genes involved within the crossover pathway in budding yeast. There, I developed an interest in understanding the crosstalk that occurs between proteins after seeing it occur first hand within meiosis.

Outside of research, I love reading non-scientific literature provided that I have the chance to eventually catch up on my backlogged reading list.
