About Me

Hamidreza Khodajou Masouleh

My name is Hamidreza, a Ph.D. student in Genetics at Stony Brook University. I studied herbal bioactive compounds and cancer chemoprevention during my master’s thesis. Through my previous work on stress-induced biomacromolecules in Artemia encysted embryos, I became interested in the biology of dormancy, diapause, and stress tolerance. Therefore, I see the African killifish as a great system that fits into my interests.

In my leisure time, I enjoy playing soccer with my friends and going out on hikes. I am a nature lover, particularly admiring the beauty of mountains. I am also a big fan of thought-provoking and thriller movies.
